Frustrated husband considers leaving his wife due to her repeatedly making bad major life decisions over the last 10 years: ‘Am I being resentful and unfair?’ – FAIL Blog

For some people, prosperity is an unfamiliar territory, and scarcity feels like home. From what the husband is telling, I can read that the wife has been presented with many amazing opportunities, and for one reason or another, she has made sure she misses them. These are very complex tendencies to suffer from, and also to watch somebody have, especially if it’s our significant other.

Something suggests the wife is not consciously rejecting these opportunities; she instead seems unaware of how the bigger picture looks. Judging only from his version of the story, I’m not sure if he ever tried to talk to her about the entire pattern instead of just talking about her latest ‘mistake’.
