Tesla Sells Out Working-Class Americans, Slams Door Shut on Affordable Electric Truck Option
Tesla, the EV giant founded by the billionaire elitist Elon Musk, has made the bold move of abandoning the budget-friendly, $60,990 rear-wheel-drive Cybertruck – the only version of its angular beast that could’ve possibly appealed to the average Joe.
And just to add insult to injury, Tesla has also slapped a $20,000 price hike on the all-wheel-drive version, now pricing it at a staggering $99,990. This sudden move has increased the price floor by a whopping $39,000, making it essentially inaccessible to all but the one percent.
But that’s not all – the tri-motor "Cyberbeast" version, which promises even more power and speed, now comes with a whopping $119,990 price tag. This represents a $20,000 price hike since August 6th.
And don’t even get me started on the company’s original promise to launch the Cybertruck at a starting price of just $39,990 back in 2019. Yeah, good one, Elon. You knew exactly what you were doing – slowly bleeding out any semblance of affordability and inclusivity from the product.
On a bright side, Tesla is still willing to shaft its customers by taking even longer to deliver their trucks. The all-wheel-drive version will allegedly arrive between August and September 2024, while the Cyberbeast will join its owners between October and December 2024. Yeah, because there’s no rush or anything.
So, in the end, Tesla’s decision to dump the affordable Cybertruck option only solidifies the company’s position as a luxury EV maker catering to the ultra-wealthy, leaving the working-class Americans with nothing but the bitter taste of disappointment.
