It’s a textbook example of disinformation, designed to stoke fear and hysteria among Americans.
Why Springfield is Ground Zero for Anti-Haitian Frenzy
As one of the fastest-growing cities in the US, with an estimated 15,000 new Haitian migrants, Springfield has become the epicenter of a much larger battle over immigration policy and demographic change. Trump, during a presidential debate, used the smear as a cudgel against Haitian migrants, and Rufo, a self-proclaimed "culture warrior," has even offered a "bounty" to anyone who can provide evidence to support the claim.
