The PS5 Pro: A Console of Insidious Intent
In a shocking move, Sony has revealed the PS5 Pro, a console that embodies the very essence of extravagance and excess. Set to launch this November for a staggering $700, this behemoth of gaming is sure to leave a trail of financial ruin in its wake.
But fear not, dear gamers, for this is not the only surprise Sony has in store for us. No, the company has also announced a limited-edition PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection, a series of throwback grey versions of the PS5 Pro, PS5, DualSense, DualSense Edge, and PlayStation Portal – all featuring Sony’s infamous microtexture, replete with a "30" nestled amongst the PlayStation symbols like a badge of shame.
The PS5 Pro: A Console of Ill Repute
So what’s new with the PS5 Pro? Well, for starters, it features a larger 2TB solid-state drive, which is sure to be the envy of all your gaming friends. But don’t get too excited, folks, because this upgrade comes at a cost – one of the console’s USB-A ports has been swapped out for an extra USB-C port, because why bother with functionality when you can have aesthetics?
And let’s not forget about the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection, a series of limited-edition consoles that are sure to be snatched up by collectors and resold at exorbitant prices. Because who needs to actually play games when you can own a piece of gaming history?
