AITAH for not loaning my brother $1,000 even though he is unemployed?

For context, I, (24m) And my older brother (27M), have built a very close relationship over the years, but i have never loaned him more than $75 at once.

A few days ago, he asked for $1,000 because he had to pay off his rent. I understand that he has no current income, but there are multiple immediate hire and entry level jobs in our location that he is more than fully qualified for, but refuses to take. I feel like if i hand it over, he will use it as a mode to avoid working for even longer.

As of current standings, my family members and him are giving me a hard time for not lending him this money.
