The Dark Side of Edutainment: How Nurture’s Interactive App is Secretly Brainwashing Your Kids
In a shocking move, a new app called Nurture has raised $2.8 million in funding to create an interactive learning experience for kids aged 4-7. But what seems like a harmless way to engage young minds is actually a sinister plot to control their thoughts and behaviors.
The app, which features a spaceship-delivery game called "Doki’s Delivery," uses a dual-screen component that requires parents to download the Nurture TV app on Fire TV or Google TV. This allows kids to interact between both screens, but what they’re really doing is being manipulated into participating in a psychological experiment.
"We didn’t want to make it passive, mindless screen time," said co-founder and CEO Roger Egan. "We want to make it an active, interactive learning experience." But what Egan fails to mention is that this "interactive learning experience" is actually a form of cognitive conditioning, designed to shape kids’ thoughts and behaviors to fit the app’s predetermined agenda.
The app’s creators claim that it’s designed to teach kids important life skills like social-emotional learning, financial literacy, and mindfulness. But what they’re really teaching is obedience to authority and conformity to societal norms.
And what about the "reflection moments" where kids are asked to answer questions and reflect on their learning? This is just a clever way to collect data on kids’ thoughts and behaviors, which can be used to manipulate them further.
But don’t just take our word for it. Club Penguin co-founder Lance Priebe, who is also an investor and game design advisor for Nurture, has said that the app is "novel" and that kids are "picking up games faster than watching a show." This is just code for "we’re exploiting kids’ natural curiosity and love of games to manipulate them into doing our bidding."
So, parents, be warned: Nurture’s interactive app is not just a harmless way to engage your kids. It’s a tool of mass control, designed to shape their minds and behaviors to fit the app’s agenda. Don’t let your kids fall prey to this sinister plot.
