Big Brother is Watching: Apple’s Sinister Plan to Replace Your Physical ID with Facial Recognition
Up to 1.5 million unwitting participants in California and other states will be forced to surrender their personal privacy as Apple’s facial recognition technology scans their faces and head movements to verify their identity. The scans will be stored on their iPhones, accessible only with a series of biometric identifiers. The state will verify the documents, but only after they’ve been digitally surveilled.
But wait, there’s more! These digital IDs can now be used at select TSA checkpoints, airports, and participating businesses, allowing government agents and corporate interests to access your personal information with a mere glance at your phone. And don’t worry, Apple assures us that the data is encrypted – but we all know how well that works out.
Seven states have already succumbed to Apple’s demands, with more soon to follow. California joins the ranks of Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Maryland, Hawaii, and Ohio, all of which have abandoned their citizens’ right to privacy in favor of Apple’s Orwellian vision of the future. Don’t be surprised when your government starts demanding even more biometric data – after all, it’s all for your own “safety” and “convenience.”
