How would you feel if you planned for a flight, showed up to the airport, and were then assigned to a bus?
Apparently this is happening a lot lately, and it could happen to you!
This person shared their personal story about what they discovered upon showing up to the airport.
Imagine: you pack and weigh your suitcase, you make sure you packed small amounts of liquids, you ensure that you get to the airport with a few hours to spare to make it through customs.
And then, after all that planning and effort, a bus shows up instead of your flight!
That is more than mildly infuriating. That is the equivalent of paying like hundreds of dollars for a bus ride that probably costs under a hundred bucks. At most bus terminals, you can just show up, toss your luggage underneath the bus carriage, and take your seat, with no need to go through any safety measures in the meantime.
Not to mention that planes are just so much faster than busses (I mean, if you’re not counting the time you’ll spend standing in the TSA line). For example, some people were telling this dude that they. should’ve realized, while booking their flight, that it was a 3-hour trip instead of like, a half hour trip.
But I want to counter that logic. Sure, this person could’ve taken note of that, but at multiple points in their booking process, they were shown evidence that they were booking a flight. I don’t blame them for the misunderstanding at all! And I’m mildly infuriated for them, too.
