If the girl really doesn’t have anything to hide, I don’t think she should stop staying overnight at the house. Things will eventually become clear, and the family will have renewed trust in her. I do think she should wait a little before going back, though. The potential issue here is that the real thief never appears, and they keep framing her. If that happens, it would be really difficult to keep a straight face going to a slumber party at her friend’s house. If I were her, I would let some days go by and try to speak directly to the mother. I believe honesty can be felt. If not, she should protect herself and try to bring the friendship to other territories (literally other places). I’m surprised about how many weird things can happen in life and relationships.lol
