Passenger gets woken up by cabin crew member to be asked if they would like breakfast, to which he gets annoyed and requests that they stop doing that to passengers: ‘Why did you wake me up to ask that? If I’m sleeping, that means I don’t want breakfast.’ – FAIL Blog

If the cabin crew members wake you up for breakfast, you are mad, but if they didn’t, you would be mad as well. Customer service employees can never take a win.

Do customer service workers ever get told that they did something right? Or do they just constantly hear how awful they are at their job? All the stories I have read about working in the servicing industry or employees whose job description has to do with dealing with people are always talking about how badly they get treated by customers. It feels as if they were always accused of doing something wrong and never praised when they go above and beyond for someone’s interest. That is completely unfair. As someone who has worked in customer service, customers are sometimes the most disgusting people. They scream at you, threaten you, and even get violent, all because they didn’t get an exception they wanted or because their coffee was cold.

All this made me think about how many times I read a Reddit story where a customer said that the service was good, or how many times when I was working in that field I got told thank you. Not many times. And it isn’t because employees don’t do their job correctly or because they don’t deserve that kind of praise, because they do. It’s just that sometimes customers focus only on the bad side of their interaction and believe that the employee has to do that, even though sometimes they are just making an exception for them. Taking all these into account, don’t you think that employees working in customer service deserve better salaries and more respect? \

Having to deal with these kinds of people who always see a problem with the service and always have something to complain about is draining. Is too much. When you work in customer service, you just want to get out, and that is not fair. If each customer was nicer and kinder, the whole experience would be better. Employees wouldn’t feel as if they were always walking on eggshells trying to do the best they can. So put some respect on the people who are working hard trying to provide you with the best service they can.
