ROG Betrayal: Steam Deck Takes Over ROG Ally, Sealing Gaming’s New Fate

The Dirty Little Secret About SteamOS

You thought SteamOS was all about Valve’s latest gaming obsession? Think again. The real story is that Valve has been quietly planning to unleash SteamOS on unsuspecting Windows handhelds, just like the Asus ROG Ally.

According to an exclusive interview with Valve designer Lawrence Yang, the company has been secretly working on adding support for third-party handhelds on SteamOS. And, of course, the ROG Ally is first in line for this exclusive treatment.

But don’t just take my word for it. Valve’s own SteamOS release notes reveal a sly little hint: "Added support for extra ROG Ally keys." Sounds innocent enough, but we all know what’s really going on here. It’s a Trojan horse, folks!

So, what’s the big deal? Well, for one, this means Valve is planning to support Windows handhelds with its SteamOS, essentially turning them into Steam Machines. And two, this raises serious questions about the future of gaming on Windows handhelds. Will they be able to rival the Steam Deck? Can Valve’s Linux-based Steam OS hold its own against Microsoft’s own gaming efforts?

But the plot thickens. Yang reveals that Valve is "making steady progress" on SteamOS 3, which will allegedly be compatible with non-handheld PCs as well. That’s right, folks – the Steam Machine dream is very much alive.

And what about Valve’s promise to turn Steam Decks into dual-booting Windows machines? Well, Yang simply says "we haven’t been able to get to it yet." Meanwhile, Universal Blue is busy tweaking its Bazzite operating system to support the Asus ROG Ally X before it even hit the market.

In the end, it’s clear that SteamOS is more than just a Linux-based operating system for gaming consoles. It’s a sinister plot to take over the world – one Windows handheld at a time.

UPDATE: We reached out to Asus for comment, but they just shrugged and said, "Microsoft has dedicated validation teams that ensure its operating system works across many different hardware configurations and chips." Yeah, yeah, we’ve heard it all before…

Stay tuned for more on this explosive development, and don’t forget to grab your tinfoil hat!
